Community Preservation

Welcome to the Community Preservation Division

The Community Preservation Division of the La Habra Community Development Department strives to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods through personalized neighborhood contact, code requirement education, responsive and dedicated personnel, fair and equitable enforcement of laws, innovative processes, and home improvement programs. This Division exists to enhance the quality of life in La Habra by encouraging the proper maintenance of commercial and residential property throughout the City.

Residents may now contact Community Preservation on the weekends at (562) 905-9608.  Community Preservation is the Division responsible for ensuring that properties meet the standards of the La Habra Municipal Code.   This results in a high quality of life throughout the community, and protects property values and the health and safety of our residents.

Remember to Remove Trash Containers Promptly

trash binsIn order to preserve the health, safety and beauty of La Habra, please remember to remove your trash containers from public view promptly.  Trash cans may be placed on the curb in front of the residence where the trash was generated beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the day before trash collection.

How to be a Good Neighbor in a Single-Family Residential Zone

Property maintenance standards are essential for maintaining decent, safe, and attractive neighborhoods.
