Welcome to the Engineering & Traffic Division
Whether it's designing, administering or inspecting the construction of capital improvements, performing traffic counts and conducting traffic studies, or providing inter-departmental support to Community Development and the Redevelopment Agency on private developments, the Engineering & Traffic Divisions provide a variety of comprehensive services to meet the changing needs of the City's infrastructure, transportation and development. Specifically, their responsibilities include:Pavement Management Program Schedule
Progress is being made on local residential street repairs. In 2007, the City Council adopted a Pavement Management Plan that identifies the schedule for pavement repairs and rehabilitation over a number of years. The plan divides the City into zones and rates each zone on the overall condition of the streets in that zone. Some streets may be in very poor condition, while others may be in excellent condition, but the overall condition of the zone will determine when it is scheduled for repair.
