Your Social Media

The first step in beginning your job search is to review your social media sites (e.g. Facebook or Intsagram) for inappropriate content. Let’s revised that statement, make sure your social media sites are appropriate for a child to view or G-rated. Employers have been known to check out an applicant’s social media site, see their drunken mischief first-hand, and consequently not make a job offer.  If you really want to keep your questionable pictures, check out the privacy policy of your favorite social media site to make sure you have selected the strongest privacy setting. But don’t be surprised if you get a “friend request” from an innocuous stranger who happens to be the hiring director of a company…
