6 sets of plans for new construction and Tenant Improvements.
5 sets of plans for room additions.
5 sets for on-site and grading plans.
Plans may be required to be prepared by licensed architects or engineers where public safety issues and/or complex structural design is required.
Additional Approvals & Fees Building Department Personnel will assign a plan check number, collect plan check fees, and route plans to all applicable departments. Plan check fees for building construction are based on project valuation. Other approvals/fees may be required before permit issuance:

Development Impact fee
Orange County Health Department fees
Park fee (for new sub-divisions)
Planning Commission - Conditional Use Permit, Zone Variance
Strong Motion Instrumentation Tax

Plans routed to all city departments: Building, Planning, Fire, Engineering, Public Works, and Traffic.
Departmental comments back to Building Department. Building personnel will contact applicant to come in and pick up comments.
If all departments approve the plans, permits will be issued.
If there are any corrections, the applicant needs to revise and resubmit plans.
Plans are routed to city departments with corrections for review.
