  • La Habra Active Day Camp Set to Begin

    Summer vacation is here, and that means fun, new friends, and exciting adventures!  Sign up your child for La Habra Active, a 10-week summer day camp.  La Habra Active is designed to give kids ages four to 12 an active and fun experience in a safe environment, while exploring and enjoying new experiences, all at a very reasonable price.  New this year are weekly art lessons, and the enrichment camps that .  Day Camp begins Monday, June 10th and ends Friday, August 16th.

  • Summer Swim Lessons


    The Community Services Department will offer three two-week swim lesson sessions, beginning on Monday, June 17th, at the La Habra High School pool, 801 W. Highlander Avenue.

    The City will also offer recreation swim Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., and also on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The cost for recreation swim is $2 for participants who are 18 years of age and older and $1 for participants under 18 years of age.  Children must be three feet tall at the shoulder; if not, the child must be accompanied in the water by an adult on a one-to-one basis.  Flotation devices and toys are NOT allowed in the pool.

  • ~ Community Crime Alert ~

    Recently there have been a few residents in the City of La Habra victimized by what is referred to as "Distraction Burglaries". Distraction Burglary is a crime which commonly targets elderly residents, but anyone can be targeted. The perpetrator, while posing as a utility company employee, cable installer, or some other "official" worker, seeks to draw a resident out of their house on a false pretext. The suspect may tell the resident that he must show them something in their rear or side yard. While the resident is distracted by the first suspect, a second suspect enters the home and steals valuables, such as money and jewelry.

  • Heat Up the Summer with Concerts in the Park

    The annual Concerts in the Park series kicks off on Thursday, June 20th with a musical performance by Mariachi Cuicatlan and a dance performance by Grandeza Mexican Folk Ballet Co.  This year's Concerts in the Park series is presented by Waste Management and sponsored by American First Credit Union, Dangelo Co., La Habra Business Connection, Nationwide Environmental Services and Walmart.

  • Prepare for Emergency Response

    The City of La Habra Police Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department are proud to present this training to the La Habra public.  The program was developed to provide basic training in safety and life saving skills should there be a major disaster.

  • City to Host Vietnam Veterans Memorial: The Wall that Heals

    The City of La Habra and American Legion Post 267, La Habra will host the Vietnam Veterans Memorial: The Wall that Heals at La Habra High School football stadium Thursday, July 11th through Sunday, July 14th.  The Wall that Heals is a half-size replica of the original Washington, D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

  • 4th of July Celebration

    The City of La Habra will hold its annual 4th of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4th.  Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.  There will be a wide variety of food available for puchase from food trucks and vendors, as well as children's games and activities and live music by Soto.  Pre-sale wristbands are available for sale at the La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd.
